A ‘Habitation check’ is an annual examination and service of the living section of your motorhome, campervan or caravan. Please ask if your free dealer warranty requires a return to base for this service.

Habitation checks entail a thorough inspection of the habitation area of your motorhome or caravan. The inspection is carried out by a specialist motorhome and caravan engineer. It follows a set procedure and highly detailed inspection plan. It covers dangers such as fire risk, ventilation and gas systems as well as problem areas like damp, water systems, electrical systems and bodywork. You receive a full report afterward with observations of problems identified and the action required.

The aim of the AWS Pre-Owned Pre-Purchase Inspections is to provide a potential buyer with a detailed report on the visual and/or operational condition of the caravan or motorhome they are looking to purchase before they commit to buy.
You can expect the following from an AWS Pre-Owned Pre-Purchase Inspection;
- Inspection of the safety critical elements
- Gas soundness check
- Full damp inspection
- Wheels and tyres (caravan only)
Along with this, it will also cover other important areas such as the operation of a caravan-mover which is often a deciding factor when purchasing and can be carried out a place to suit you.
