I am Michael Saville, welcome to Caravan Medic East Anglia, I provide a mobile service for caravans and motorhomes in Suffolk, South Norfolk & East Essex.
This covers caravan servicing and motorhome habitation servicing as well as warranty repairs for Engineer Aftercare/Autoguard MBi. We are also pleased to provide Caravan and Motorhome warranty plus Roadside Assistance and Recovery where needed.
Caravan Medic East Anglia is an ‘Approved Mobile Workshop’ with the National Caravan Council. AWS accreditation allows me to service your caravan or motorhome maintaining your manufacturer’s warranty in full. We are also approved to undertake warranty claim repairs to any Engineer Aftercare Warranty customers.
Caravan Medic East Anglia services include shower tray repairs, acrylic window repairs, solar power installations, refillable gas systems, pre-purchase inspections, supply and fitting of WSL caravan wheel safety bolts, Electrical Installation Condition Reports as well as caravan and motorhome servicing.
AWS Qualified and Approved
For your own piece of mind you need to know that the person who is going to repair or service your caravan or motorhome is properly trained and has the necessary industry qualifications.
Michael is a member of the Approved Workshop Scheme. This is a joint enterprise between the National Caravan Council, The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club. It is also supported by all the major UK tourer and motorhome manufacturers.
To be part of the Scheme, workshops must pass an annual inspection by a team of independent assessors and comply with the Scheme’s rigorous standards, as well as holding up to date industry qualifications.

We offer mobile caravan and motorhome servicing. As with repairs you will find our servicing prices to be cheaper than those charged by dealerships and the mobile service makes it more convenient for you.
Caravan Pre Purchase Inspection
Buying a caravan or a motorhome can be a big financial commitment. You need to be confident that the outfit you are buying is legal, safe and dry. Caravan Medic East Anglia provides a pre-purchase inspection service to give you piece of mind about your intended purchase. The seller’s permission is required for a pre-purchase inspection. A genuine seller will not have a problem with this as they have nothing to hide. If permission is refused then this is probably good reason enough to not proceed with the purchase.
Our pre-purchase inspection service will provide you with a report on the condition of the caravan or habitation part of the motor home you are thinking of buying. As outfits can range from a few hundred pounds to many thousands we can provide a report that is commensurate with your proposed purchase.
Basic Pre-Purchase Inspection £100+vat
This is a basic inspection of road worthiness aimed at establishing if the caravan can be towed away safely should you decide to buy it. The following areas will be inspected with a report on the points shown:
– Parking brake – overrun actuation and recoil
– Jockey Wheel security
– Safety latch / catch on coupling
– Emergency breaking system (breakaway cable)
– Raise caravan/ motorhome to check condition, age and suitability of tyres
– Check wheels freely rotate and that bearings are not noisy
– Wheel bolt torque settings
– 12n lights and reflectors
– Check all doors, windows and hatches close securely
– Check all other body parts and attachments are secure
Intermediate Pre-Purchase Inspection £150+vat
This service goes beyond basic road worthiness. The following areas will be reported on.
– Parking brake – overrun actuation and recoil
– Jockey Wheel security
– Safety latch / catch on coupling
– Emergency breaking system (breakaway cable)
– Raise caravan/ motorhome to check condition, age and suitability of tyres
– Check wheels freely rotate and that bearings are not noisy
– Wheel bolt torque settings
– 12n lights and reflectors
– Check all doors, windows and hatches close securely
– Check all other body parts and attachments are secure
Gas System
– Gas tightness test in accordance with UKLPG guidance 14
– Check security of gas bottle straps
Electrical 230v
– Hook up unit and mechanical test at RCD electrical safety trip switch
Body shell and floor
– Damp test noting down any adverse readings on check sheet report
– Check for floor delamination
12 Volt
– Check charging circuit
Advanced Pre-Purchase Inspection £200+vat
This is a comprehensive inspection service which covers:
– Parking brake – overrun actuation and recoil
– Jockey Wheel security
– Safety latch / catch on coupling
– Emergency breaking system (breakaway cable)
– Raise caravan/ motorhome to check condition, age and suitability of tyres
– Check wheels freely rotate and that bearings are not noisy
– Wheel bolt torque settings
– 12n lights and reflectors
– Check all doors, windows and hatches close securely
– Check all other body parts and attachments are secure
– Issue a general condition statement
– Offer estimate for repairs needed to correct faults
Gas System
– Gas tightness test in accordance with UKLPG guidance 14
– Check security of gas bottle straps
– Gas safety certificate
Electrical 230v
– Hook up unit and mechanical test at RCD electrical safety trip switch
– Test all 230 volt sockets
– Test ampere functionality of 230v appliance’s
– Check earth bonding
Body shell and floor
– Damp test
– Check for floor delamination
– Issue full damp inspection report
12 Volt
– Check charging circuit
– Check 12v functionality and fridge
Central Registration and Identification Scheme (CriS) registration check
– Obtain CRiS and HPI clearance
